Read any
DPL code.
Every Taban Niroo product carries a short DPL reference. Once you know the four segments below you can read section length, voltage class and family at a glance — no datasheet needed.
DPL 33-1180 PI
01 · Segment
DPL
Family prefix
Identifies the product as a Taban Niroo design (Dehkade Power Line). Every DPL reference on this site begins with this prefix.
02 · Segment
33
System voltage
Nominal line voltage in kV (for example 11, 20, 33, 63, 132, 230 or 400). For station-class posts and hybrid posts the number is replaced by the section length directly (e.g. DPL 325 PI).
03 · Segment
1180
Section length (mm)
The four-digit number after the dash is the section length of the insulator housing in millimetres. Read together with the voltage it uniquely identifies a variant inside the family.
04 · Segment
PI
Family suffix
Two- to three-letter suffix marking the product family: PI = Post Insulator, HPI = Hybrid Post, LP = Line Post, PB = Polymer Bushing (ceramic core), B = Bushing, CU = Cut-Out Fuse, CA = Cross-Arm, H-L / H-P = Hybrid Line / Pin type, T.T = Phase-to-phase spacer.
Couplings
& terminals.
All long rod and post families can be supplied with the following IEC-standard couplings. Geometry and load class are confirmed per project on the approved drawing.
Couplings follow IEC 60120 & IEC 60471
01 · IEC 60120
Ball & Socket
Standard suspension coupling for long rod and composite cap-and-pin insulators. Available in 16, 20 and 24 mm ball classes depending on the specified mechanical load.
02 · IEC 60471
Clevis & Tongue
Pinned coupling used where articulation in one plane is required — typical on tension sets and dead-ends for distribution and sub-transmission lines.
03 · IEC 60471
Y-Clevis / Eye
Y-clevis and eye fittings that mate with shackles, links and balance plates on transmission hardware assemblies.
04 · Manufacturer-specific
Flange
Flange terminations used on post insulators, station posts, transformer bushings and hollow cores. PCD and bolt pattern are issued on the individual drawing.
Type-tested.
Routine-tested.
Products are designed, type-tested and routine-tested at accredited laboratories. Performance is verified under pollution, mechanical strength and electrical withstand conditions for each family.
